While the whole world is drooling over the new iPhone models launched by Apple on Tuesday night, the world's largest smartphone company Samsung is in process of coming with a phone with a bendable display, under the company's popular Note brand, reported Associated Press.

"Samsung has the foldable smartphone in its roadmap for the Note series and is currently working to solve a series of hurdles before unveiling it next year", Koh said. The consistent showcase of flexible display panels by Samsung even led some to speculate that the company could be unveiling foldable phones at IFA 2017. Xiaomi was one of the first to do it at the end of last year with the Mi Mix. Now, the iPhone X is equipped with pretty much the same type of display.

Huanqiu also suggests that Apple had led the smartphone innovation trend in the past, where the firm would announce some cutting-edge design which would inspire the industry until its big action the next year. The battery of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is 3300mAh.

There was no elaboration on what exactly those problems may be, although analysts have voiced concerns that mass-producing a foldable phone with glitzy features inside of a thin body will take no short amount of time.
