Disney confirms Star Wars-inspired resort, TRON roller coaster (and more)

Depending on the type of vacations you like to have, a hotel can simply be a place to sleep at night on the way to your destination or it can be the destination itself.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is planned to open in both Disneyland and Disney World in 2019.

The video features Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, alongside the film series' original cast members Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C3PO) and Fisher. A resort which "combines a luxury resort with an immersion in an authentic Star Wars environment", according to Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts, and which will apparently be modeled after a starship.

The attracti0onbs are described as follows: "The lands will allow guests to visit a remote trading port on the edge of wild space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life - and where guests will find themselves in the middle of the action".

Disney is building a seventh cruise ship to add to their fleet; this new addition will be built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. No opening date or timeline was given. You also get the chance to mingle around with Star Wars characters. Later Horn returned to the stage to introduce writer/director Rian Johnson for a look at Lucasfilm's upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi and ended by introducing Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, for a rousing presentation to close the event.

Disney revealed the name of the "Star Wars" inspired lands at Walt Disney World and Disneyland set to open in 2019: "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge".

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on December 15.
